Palace of Museums - Varallo Art Gallery and Calderini Museum

Since the second half of the nineteenth century, art and nature have coexisted in Palazzo dei Musei.

The route of the Art Gallery reflects the richness of the Valsesian artistic tradition from the Renaissance to the 19th century, nourished over time by the prestigious construction site of the Sacro Monte di Varallo, now a UNESCO site. This heritage is enriched by the graphic collection, the renowned Francesco Franchi collection of Italian majolica and the Remogna collection. The Calderini Natural History Museum , a true Valsesian Wunderkammer , includes naturalistic, archaeological and demo-ethno-anthropological collections.
