Italian Paleoart Award 2023:

After the success of the first two editions, on 30 September the Paleontological Museum will host the exhibition of the works of the third edition of the Italian Paleoart Prize , created by Italian and foreign artists.

This year too there were many nominations for the Award, which confirm the importance of the event at a national level and beyond. Compared to the previous two years, in fact, the Award has also arrived for the first time in countries such as Canada , Germany and Hungary . Once again, the participation of artists from many South American countries, such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Mexico, is confirmed.

On 30 September, in addition to the inauguration of the exhibition in the Cloister of Cennano, which can be visited until 19 October, various paleo-artistic themed activities will take place. In the morning, in the Great Hall, a workshop will be held with the third year students of the Montevarchi Art School held by Davide Bonadonna, an internationally renowned Italian paleoartist. In the afternoon, after a short talk on paleoart by sector experts, the winners of the 2023 edition of the competition will be officially awarded.

From 2021 the Museum welcomes the Award created by the paleoartist Sante Mazzei and organizes it with the collaboration of the Italian Paleoartistic Paleontological Association of Parma and the patronage of the Italian Geological Society . The initiative was created thanks to the contribution of the CR Firenze Foundation , together with the Massimo Manganelli Group , the Montevarchi Unicoop Firenze Members Section and thanks to the support of Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo .
